The Gold Coast is littered with fantastic parks for kids. I’ve dragged my kids around to as many parks as I could find and here are their favourites parks (in no particular order….. apart from the first one).
Map Of Gold Coast Parks For Kids
Broadwater Parklands, Southport
This is by far the largest and best park on the Gold Coast in my opinion. The Broadwater Parklands have heaps of features including:
- Jumping pillow,
- Monorail,
- Flying fox,
- Lots and lots of open space and riding tracks,
- Protected swimming area and the inflatable water park, and
- Outdoor exercise gym.

Bim’bimba Park, Pimpama
This award-winning park will be a hit with your kids. This park can entertain kids of all ages.
The older kids can play basketball, or run their bikes or skateboards over the ramps, or climb over the fallen trees.
The younger kids will have a great time playing in the elevated platforms, going through the cargo tunnel, or playing in between all of the obstacles on the ground.

Macintosh Island Park, Main Beach
My kids loved playing around and climbing on bigfoots cave, this is a great spot that has a couple of different parks, and plenty of footpaths to ride the bikes and scooters around.
We have also had several kids parties here which are always fun.

All Abilities Playground at Kurrawa Pratten Park, Broadbeach
This park is designed to cater to all kids, including kids that have disabilities. The All Abilities Playground sprawls over a large area and is in a great spot next to the beach and Broadbeach.
The only trouble you will have here is finding a park.

Westfield Coomera, Coomera
I had heard from other people about how good the playground at the Westfield Coomera was, but I was actually shocked by what was there.
Not only is the playground a lot of fun for the kids with unique equipment that is not common at other parks (like trampolines, a huge tyre swing and a scooter track), but there is also a free water play park area that would be a lot of fun for toddlers and kids.
If you need to knock off some shopping but also need to burn some of your kids’ energy, then head here.

Eagle Tree Park, Coomera
If you are travelling in the area and need to get the kids out to burn some energy, this is a good park to stop at. It’s located out of the way and unless you lived in the area you wouldn’t normally be driving past here.
Directions to Eagle Tree Park, Coomera.
Lions Park, Helensvale
You will only ever find this park if you just happen to be driving past it, which was lucky for me as I was!
There is equipment here that aren’t usually at other parks like climbing walls and ropes, surfboard spinny thing, giant climbing cargo nets.
I would drive out of the way to take the kids back here.
Directions to Lions Park, Helensvale.
Green Court, Maudsland
This is a new park and is known only by the locals.
The park on Green Court has lots of interesting features for kids to play with.
From the large snake to the stones and creek that run through the playground. It even has its own sealed bike track for the kids to practise getting some speed on. As well as all of the usual things like slides, swings and cargo nets.
Directions to Green Court, Maudsland.
Frascott Park Safari Playground, Varsity Lakes
This park has my kids most favourite swing/merry-go-round combination. They love being flung around at probably too fast speeds.
On top of the great swing, flying fox and huge slide this park also has a lot of green space to be able to kick the soccer ball around. There is also a dog pack here so if you want to let your pooch off lead for a bit you can.

Playground, Canungra
If you are looking for an excuse to go to Canungra to check out the tasty local bakeries, bringing your kids here to this park to have a play is surely enough of an excuse.
There is plenty to keep the kids busy, and only of the coolest merry-go-rounds you have seen.
Directions to the playground at Canungra.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Currumbin
If you ever go to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, you will be able to take the kids to this fun park. It has a flying fox, giant spiders web, and a treehouse full of ladders and slides.
Directions to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Currumbin.
Gold Coast Botanic Garden, Benowa
This park has one of the most interesting climbing features that I have seen. Big wooden logs crossing each other will challenge your kids’ strength and balance. The playground also has some swings, slides and some rocking balance beams.
This park also has lots of open space for sports and other activities.
Directions to Gold Coast Botanic Gardens Playground, Benowa.
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Broadbeach
If you need to do some shopping as well as want to let the kids have a good run around, Pacific Fair at Broadbeach has a great climbing playground.
The kids can climb up several levels and cross the walkway in an overhead walkway. This will help them burn some energy so that they are better behaved when it comes to doing the food or clothing shop.
Directions to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Broadbeach.
John Laws Park, Burleigh
Next to the Burleigh Pavilion is John Laws park which has great open spaces and a good little park.
At low tide, all of the rocks on the beach get exposed and leave behind rock pools for the kids to explore. You might be lucky to find fish and other sea animals.
Across the road, there is also an outdoor callisthenics gym which is a great play area for kids who can reach up to the bars.
