Black Rock Waterfall is the prize at the end of this approximate 5.6km hiking track. With a 50 metre high waterfall and a large swimming hole underneath.
This hike took me 1 hour and 11 minutes to complete with a work colleague (one way). We pushed quite hard the whole way so I would expect if you were taking an easier pace it could take up to 2-2.5 hours one way.
This hiking track is of moderate difficulty. There isn’t a defined walking track here. You will find yourself climbing over rocks and crossing the river multiple time to get to the end. While it isn’t hard, the younger kids will find all of the climbing tiring, so maybe let the little kiddies (under 10 maybe) sit this one out.
There are several swimming holes on the way up to Black Rock Waterfalls, so if you did want to not travel the whole distance then you could always stop at one of these.
