Hercules Street Park is a fantastic park that you can bring the whole family to (including your dog). This park has every kind of facility that will keep everyone happy including:

  • Kids playground
  • Aquativity feature
  • Outdoor gym/exercise area
  • Multicourt play area
  • Off leash dog park
  • BBQs, toilets and shaded pergolas

This Northshore riverside park cost $10 million to develop and was officially opened to the public in January 2020. There is onsite car parking (four for vehicles with prams and two handicap spots) and street parking available.

The kids’ playground is also partially fenced on the road and car park sides to prevent kids from getting lost and wandering onto the road.

Kids Playground

The highlight of Hercules Street Park is the kids’ playground. One of the most epic playgrounds your kids will ever play in. There are fun and interesting things like:

  • Interconnected tunnels
  • Big metal slides
  • Climbing walls
  • Swings
  • Hanging nets and ladders, and
  • Overhead walkways

Kids love playing tag and running around this park, it’s a very fast-paced playground that will test the agility of your kids. They will be running up and over the centrepiece of the park, the island in the middle and scooting through the tunnel that runs under the island.

The park has some great safety features; the playground has a fence running around 3/4s of it to help keep your kids off the road and to help prevent sunburn most of the park is covered in shade.

Aquativity Play Area

A neat feature of this park is the waterfall/water misting area. This turns on randomly throughout the day, once on you will see kids running from all corners to get wet and cool off while it is running. Best bring a change of clothes or some swimmers.
