Every parent faces a dilemma when it comes to planing their kid’s parties, what and where can we do it?

Below is a list of ideas for kids parties on the Gold Coast to help inspire you and your planning.

Outdoor Party Ideas

When the sun is shining why not have a kids party outside at a park, playground or picnic spot, where they can run around or even have an encounter with animals. If you plan on having lots of kids attend then going outside could be the smartest idea.

We have already written about our favourite parks on the Gold Coast and our favourite picnic spots on the Gold Coast. Most of these parks and picnic spots have benches and BBQs that you could use to serve and prepare food for your party.

Indoor Party Ideas

If the weather is too hot or the chance of rain is too high, take your party plans inside and avoid the headache (and tears) of wondering if your kids big day will go ahead.

We have a big list of indoor centres that do kids parties and that your kid will have a lot of fun at – have a look at our wet weather activities on the Gold Coast post to get some ideas.

There are also some pubs and restaurants that host kid birthday parties. One place we have been to multiple times is the Benowa Tavern. They organise party games and there is both an inflatable jumping castle and an outdoor playground.

Pool, Beach And Water Park Party Ideas

There are many local pools that do birthday parties. We mentioned that Helensvale Aquatic Centre holds birthday parties. You can actually hire part of the pool and have them set up their inflatable obstacle course, and also supply lifeguards to supervise for the kids’ safety.

If the kids are still quite young, there are some protected beaches that would be suitable for a kids party. Otherwise, if they are older you could always do it at a patrolled surf beach – I don’t know how you would do the cake cutting without getting sand everywhere though.

Another option would be to have a party at one of the many free water parks/splash pools around the Gold Coast. Our family had a party at the splash pool at the Broadwater Parklands and would recommend it is as a great venue for toddlers and older.

Theme Park Party Ideas

If you have several friends who have season passes to the theme parks or are willing to foot the bill for several kids, there are many different theme parks you can have a kids party at.
